Janet Queep
Janet was one of the main protagonists of The Queeps, appearing in most episodes of the original series. She was notable for being the only female Queep (except, arguably, for the season 1 episode Holy Hormones!, when an industrial estrogen spill caused Grandfather Queep to develop breasts).

Abilities and characteristics
As the only female Queep, she played an important role in their reproductive ecosystem, and frequently excused herself midway through episodes to lay a massive clutch of oily, translucent eggs.
Unlike most Queeps, Janet was tall and voluptuous, somewhat reminiscent of the classic cartoon character Dolly Doxy. Whereas most Queeps wore a onesie-like garment, Janet often wore novelty t-shirts from the nearby boardwalk. It was never explained where her cut-off shorts came from, but some fans speculate that she found them discarded on the beach after the events of the episode, Spring Break Streak-Off.
Concept and creation
According to his memoirs Inky Nethers: My Life in Animation Hell, Fritz Eisley recalled that Janet was a relatively late addition to the original Queeps cast, which was originally all male. According to Eisley, "Todd" Trueman became concerned that audiences might perceive the species as gay, slurring, "They're already only one letter away from bein' queers!"
